Before a family
can check-in at the Ronald McDonald House, a
referral must be given by the patient's
doctor, nurse, or social worker. They
may call the House directly at (850)
222-1706. Occupancy is on a first
come, first served basis. No advance
reservations are accepted, although a room
will be held until 6:00pm on the day it is
requested. If there are no rooms
available, the family's name will be placed
on the waiting list.
Guests are
requested to register between 9:00 a.m. and
6:00 p.m. Please speak to the House
Manager if special arrangements need to be
made.
Families are
asked to do a small daily chore to help
maintain our facility. This is
designed to take up only a short amount of
time, and is not expected to take priority
over your child's needs. Some examples
of the types of chores that our guests do
are sweeping, taking out the trash, wiping
down the counters, and other household
chores.
Transportation is provided to and from
Tallahassee Memorial Hospital by the
hospital's security office.
Transportation may be provided by other
medical facilities as well. Address
the facility your family member is at to get
further transportation information. |
